On February 22 in the aftermath New Zealand Christchurch had an earthquake. A mother gives her heartfelt thanks. You need a cordon Photo ID to get into the red zone and there was a family who stayed there while the other people all left. Most houses there are empty. The streets are all empty every where. A young girl from the McInnes family made a passport for the police constable before he was leaving to go back to Auckland. (Photo: RA)

ReplyDeleteIs that a typo? On Feb 22 in the afternoon, not the aftermath?
ReplyDeleteI don't quite understand the story. Whose mother is grateful? The police constable's mom, or the mom of the family who remained? Why should the mom of the family who stayed there be thankful? Why could the young girl of the McInnes family make a passport? Aren't passports made by the government?
Can you tell us a bit more about the story, please, Blogmaster? I am very curious. ;)
